Abstract
Thanks to Natural Language Understanding (NLU) technology, speech interfaces are now appreciated as smart input methods. However, these interfaces are not intelligent enough to handle the more complicated, specific conversations typically found in professional, industrial, or technical fields. So far, the demand for an intelligent interface in these fields has been ignored because speech business can make sense only in a market with a large population. One solution is to use a comprehensive conversational platform containing two core technologies of NLU and dialogue manager to build domain-specific speech interfaces faster at a lower cost.
